This Fender Stratocaster is a re-creation of the 1965 Fender Stratocaster Jimi Hendrix torched his at the end of a show at the Astoria in Finsbury Park, north London, on March 31, 1967.
This was before he became famous in USA at the Montery Pop Festival, after an electrifying performance and burning and destroying another
guitar. The original Astoria Strat that sold at a London auction
In 2008, after spending decades in storage, the scorched 1965 Fender Stratocaster that Hendrix used on that March night sold for more than $450,000
This is a Custom made Hendrix Astoria Stratocaster, I was told when I got it This guitar was carefully hand-made by an ex-employee of Fender Custom Shop, but have no verification of this. Just thought it was a cool looking good job.
The guitar was made to LOOK and PLAY just like the original, with the exception of the right-handed nut.
Try finding another one of these.
